Handbook for PhD Students

This PhD Handbook serves a dual purpose: it defines the research methodology of our group and gives general advice to students, and it sets out standards and processes which all students in the group are expected to strive for.

The School defines several milestones for PhD students. All students in the group should be aware of their milestone dates and plan accordingly. The timelines aren't set in stone, so there is flexibility if needed. The most important milestone in each year is the end-of-year report and evaluation, based on which it will be decided whether you will progress to the next year. Some guidance on results for annual PhD reviews can be found here.

The School and University provide a number of training courses for PhD students.
